Hello Friends!
In writing we're working with different kinds of poetry for the next two weeks. Our first challenge was to write a haiku. This is a special type of poem that has a structured pattern of three lines: the first line with five syllables, the second line with seven syllables, and the third line with five syllables. The students did an amazing job with writing and they kept asking to write and publish more! As our big haiku project, I had all the students do an art creation as their inspiration for writing. They blew paint trees and did water color paintings as the subject of their final haiku poems.Anouk |
